EV charger: common questions
How much does EV charger installation cost in Ontario?
A standard install near a 200 A panel typically runs $1,000 to $3,000 including the charger. Our installation starts at $650 plus the charger.
I have a 100 A panel. Do I need an upgrade?
Often not. A smart load manager shares power between your charger and the house, which usually costs less than a panel upgrade. If the house has two electric stoves or a basement suite with its own kitchen, we recommend the upgrade instead.
Are there rebates for home chargers in Ontario?
There is no provincial rebate for home Level 2 chargers in 2026. Check your utility for time-limited pilots.
Which charger should I buy?
The Tesla Universal Wall Connector works with every EV. The Grizzl-E Classic is made in Ontario and very durable. ChargePoint Home Flex has the best app.
